Betty had an extraordinary sense of humor. Although I only knew here for 14 weeks during my internship at the VA, I loved every minute I spent with her...from reminiscing with her about her photos from her nursing days, to talking about more current events. She was a very strong woman, I know she'll be missed dearly. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.

I have so many happy memories of my days at Holy Family Grammar School in Fairmount where Betty served for many years as the school nurse. "Miss Burns", as we called her, had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love for all of the children in the school. I just learned of her death and wanted to share my thoughts about such a dedicated, caring school nurse.
