I know this is a very late memory. I thought of Sister Jeremiah yesterday and went online to see what I could find out. I was very saddened to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person, truly the epitome of what a Sister of St. Francis should be. I worked with her at Oswego Catholic HS in the 70's. Great teacher, better person, and godmother of my daughter who was born in 1978. I also found out that she was my First Communion teacher at St. Michael's parish Central Square. My wife Susan and I will keep her in our prayers forever.

Sister Jeremiah was my second-grade teacher at St Daniel’s and my Typing teacher at Assumption. My mother volunteered at Assumption library. She and Sister became close friends. Since then, Sister became part of our family. She was at all our family celebrations and holiday festivities. Sister was a ray of sunshine! My husband Ross, our children and grandchildren will always cherish the memories with Sister. Our hearts go out to her loving family. Rosemary Vecchio Laguzza

I never had Sister as a teacher , met her at The Motherhouse on Court St. to me she was a little spit fire, full of energy and always had a smile. She lived a long life may she now rest in Peace with all of her other Sisters. Sharon Williams

To Sister’s Family,
Sister Jeremiah was a wonderful influence on me. Many of her former students from Oswego Catholic have named her as their favorite high school teacher. She tried to instill patience in all of is, and we remember her for it. She often said “patience is the greatest virtue”. God bless Sister Jeremiah, until we meet again.☘️☘️☘️Maureen Richardson Pyfrom
