What a special friend! Lucy, you leave us with great memories of fun, adventure, and quiet acts of kindness. I will always remember when I moved in next door to Lucy on Salmon Drive. I didn’t know a sole. Her Mom and Dad were visiting- doing Lucy chores and Mrs. Williams came over and invited me to dinner. Little did they all know how much that meant to me. We had many, many dinners and adventures from there. Lucy and Steve (another neighbor) trying to get my dog Greta into a dog food commercial is one of my favorites. They dressed Lucy's backyard deck like an Italian Restaurant. Greta sat at the red checkered table. Lucy provided the gourmet Italian food and Steve sat under the table coaxing Greta to belt out an Italian Jingle. Lucy, we will miss you! Say hello to all our dog pals. Dearest Lucy, I heard that you've now moved on to Heaven's Kitchen. As Peter & the angels, Mom, Sis & Bailey tuck napkins under their chins, I'm sending you a centerpiece of multi-color Callas Lilies. The card will tell you how blessed I was to have you in my life for over 30 years. You were a colleague, an ally & a wonderful friend. You treated our employee events as if they were a major convention & were a willing participant in talent shows, videos, etc. You kidnapped me on the morning of my late husband's funeral, & made sure that I was properly groomed for a public appearance. You helped take care of my house & critters while I was hospitalized. After that, you brought coolers of yummy food to my home, took me shopping, visited new restaurants with me & even endured my cooking. Thank you! I have missed you since you left Dallas. Now I'll miss you forever as I can't phone, email or text you anymore. I know that I'm not alone in my appreciation for how you impacted the lives of others. My sincere condolences to the family. Lucy and I reconnected last summer when I was temporarily living on Otisco Lake. We hadn't seen each other in 35+ years, but we picked up right where we left off. That was Lucy - so easy-going, friendly and positive. My husband and I were treated to a wonderful dinner at the Pines with Lucy and one of her nephews (great guy!). I am terribly sorry that I wasn't aware she was ill and didn't have a chance to see her one more time. My sympathy to all of Lucy's family and friends. I am sure she will be missed by many!

Christmas at Lucy's in 2008. She made the most incredible beef tenderloin! What a cook. She had the biggest heart and showed it in many ways. I will miss her love of cooking, Shania Twain, and every year cooking me a basket of gourmet meals for my birthday. I love you Lucy.
