Christine Marie Ryan, 56, passed away Thursday, March 19, at Upstate University Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Syracuse, NY, she lived in the area most of her life except for 10 years in Nashville, TN. She attended East Syracuse-Minoa High School class of 1982, went on to RIT in Rochester (Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity) and would receive a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from SUNY Health Science Center. Christine worked at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse, NY and Smith Kline Beecham Clinical Labs and DCI Laboratory in Nashville, TN. She loved music and was in many singing groups during her lifetime. Christine enjoyed her friends on Facebook, was a bird lover and adored her birds (Callie and Cricket). It was heard that she was fun, a bubbly person and a wonderful friend, Novel, The Judas Blood, published in 2001. When she could, she liked to travel. Christine was predeceased by her father, Joseph W. Ryan. Survivors: her mother, Delores (Korzeniewski), three aunts and numerous cousins. Services: There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt, NY at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice or a bird rescue place. When you think of me, sit quietly and listen and you will hear my silent voice come to you. It will pass over the trees, flowers, green fields and morning dew.
