Obituary of Nick J. Baratta

Nick J. Baratta, 84, of Camillus, passed away Saturday at St. Camillus Health & Rehab Center. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Solvay High School and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was retired from the Moose Club of Solvay, NY. Nick was involved with the West Genesee Wildcat Marching Band, loved sports, reading, and playing bridge. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter Sydney and his dogs Oliver, America, and Vito. Nick was predeceased by his wife, Jennie S. Baratta in 2003. Survivors: daughter, M. Regina Baratta of Camillus; son, Nicolas M. Baratta of Camillus; granddaughter, Sydney Baratta of Camillus; sister, Mary (Edward) Kwasigroch of Camillus; sister in law, Rose Lucio of Camillus; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of St. Camillus. To everyone who cared for our Dad and or showed him kindness; on behalf of "Papa" Nick we are deeply grateful. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home 1921 W.
