The greatest thing I can say about you is that we were never the foster kids. From the moment we walked in we were treated as if we were a true member of your family, and to me that is the greatest thing you ever could have done. I will always remember you for your jokes and for the million tennis balls you always had. I am sad that my daughter bianca never got the chance to meet you however she will know how honorable of a man her great grandfather was. You will never be forgotten and you will live on through the memmories we all have. This is not goodbye but an I'll see you at another point in my life. I love you grandpa

Karen and family, Linda and family, my deepest sympathy to you and yours. I had the honor of meeting Grandpa Vollmer just last month visiting him, with Karen. I am very blessed to have had the opportunity to enjoy his company, laugh with him, and know first hand what a wonderful man he was, such a great, kind man. Even though it was just for one day, I already miss him. My heart and prayers go out to all of you, my extended family. Love you all.
