Rose (Castellano) Mance, 96, of Westvale, NY, passed away on February 24, 2018 in Buffalo, NY. Rose was born in Frankfort, NY where she attended local schools. She graduated from Crouse-Irving School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the medical unit of the US Postal Service, North Syracuse branch for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, traveling, attending the Syracuse Symphony and the Westvale Seniors group. She was an active member of the West Genesee Methodist Church and the Crouse Alumni Association. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert, parents Francesco and Maria Paola Castellano, sisters Mary Fetterly, Angelina and Jenny Castellano, brothers James Hayden and Joseph and Francesco Castellano, nieces Mary Ann Castellano and Paula Fesko, and nephew Francis Castellano. Survivors include her son, Michael and daughter Michele (Mark) of Syracuse, and daughter Marie of Buffalo, nieces Rita DeSantis, Margaret (Peter) Sebregandio, nephew Joseph (Pat) Castellano and a number of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Services: 12pm Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 417 S. Orchard Rd. Burial will follow at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will 9:30am to 11:30am Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation of WNY, P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240 or Crouse Health Foundation,736 Irving Ave. Syracuse, NY 13210.
