Obituary of Louise S. Dwyer
Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, October 22, 2017, Louise (Luisa) Bruna Dwyer (nee Sartor) (born 7/5/1929) passed away after a brief illness at the age of 88. Her passing follows by several months the loss of her late husband, Francis (Bud) Dwyer, a US Navy veteran who passed on in June of this year who was also 88.
Louise was a Solvay girl at heart from her youth even though she and her family later moved to Liverpool. Louise remained an integral part of St. Cecilia's Church, attending Mass there and singing in their funeral choir. She also had her gang of water aerobics friends at the Solvay Youth Center and the Liverpool YMCA for many years. Louise and Bud enjoyed their social membership at the Tyrol Club. She was an important part of the family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors: her daughter, Sue Ann Bryson in Virginia, and sons, Donald in Thailand and Dennis (daughter in law Chris Tarolli) in Geddes, as well as sisters, Norma Goodman (Donald) of Baldwinsville and Joanne Picciott (Robert) of Camillus. She was pre-deceased by Francis, her late husband of 60 years, parents Linda and Martino Sartor and her younger sister Helen Crouse. She also is survived by grandsons Erich and John Woodrum, Ryan Dwyer and granddaughter Annabel as well as many nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. She was a loving and thoughtful sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. She had a special affection for her new "grand-dog, "Seven".
Services: 9:30 am Monday at St. Cecilia's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
