Obituary of Michael J. Micho

Michael John Micho Jr., 74, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on September, 4th at Upstate Hospital after a courageous battle against cancer. Michael was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. He was a 28year member of the Teamsters Union and was the proud owner of Michael J's Auto Body Shop in Syracuse for several years. He was retired since 2000. Michael was a master craftsman who learned his skills by building homes with his father during his younger years. He enjoyed many years of improving his home, meticulously maintaining his beautifully landscaped yard, boating with his wife in the Adirondacks, walking his beloved dogs Lucky & Lacie, but most of all, he cherished his time with his wife and family. Michael is now reunited with his loving parents, Michael Sr. and Helen (Dobreski) Micho. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Diane (Wells) Micho of Syracuse, brother Richard (Liz) of Otisco, NY, sister Karen Heyde (Peter) of Otisco, NY, son Carl of Cicero, NY, daughter Ashley (Joe) Fragnito of Middleton, WI and two step-daughters, Carla and Laura. He was the proud "Paca" to nine wonderful grandchildren: Lily, Michael, Matthew, Dominic, Ava, Mason, Marissa, Christopher and Jason and was loved by his brothers and sisters-in-law and his many nieces and nephews. Services: 8:30 am Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:00 am at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
