Obituary of Hal A. LaForce

Hal Arthur La Force, age 82, of Syracuse, NY passed away on August 26th, 2017. He was a native of Syracuse, the first of seven children born to Richard and Alida La Force. He graduated from Pulaksi High School, and received his college degree from Oswego State University. He earned a Master Degree in Science from Syracuse University. He was a US Army veteran, serving in the Phillipines. He taught mathematics in the Syracuse City School District at Corcoran High School for most of his twenty six year career. He also taught algebra in the evenings at Onondaga Community College. He was an avid golfer and club champion at Pine Grove, Rouges Roost and a longtime member of Camillus Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Monique La Force, his four children, Rachelle (Perry) Alexion, Michael La Force, Scott La Force and Matthew (Roxanne) La Force, and his four grandchildren Sylviane and William Alexion and Zennon and Boden La Force. He is also survived by his siblings Mary Tingiris, Penny (Mel) Hobart, and Robert (Judy) La Force and sister in laws Rosie and Carol. He is predeceased by his brothers James, Mel and Curt.
