Obituary of Mary Dooghan Grabda

Mary Dooghan Grabda, 74, of Solvay, NY peacefully passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born December 4, 1942 to the late Marie (Forken) and John T. Dooghan. Mary was a graduate of Solvay High School and attended Syracuse University before marrying John F. Grabda Jr. of Syracuse in 1964. She lived in Texas, Japan, and Taiwan before returning to her ancestral home on Charles Avenue in Solvay. She volunteered at the food pantry at Sacred Heart and was a member of their Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors: She was the beloved mother of John F. (Yvette) Grabda III of Westvale, Mark W. (Katherine) Grabda of Plattsburgh and Michelle (Daniel) Crowley of Bethesda, MD, cherished grandmother of Marina, John F. IV, Christopher Grabda and Reagan and Daniel Crowley Jr. Mary was always there for her grandchildren's many events and her greatest joy was watching her loved ones grow and navigate life. Services: 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at St. Cecilia's Church, 1001 Woods Rd., Solvay where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
