Obituary of Amelia Tyson

Amelia Tyson, 82, of Syracuse passed away Sunday at home. She was born and raised in East Syracuse, NY. She worked at Darell Controls and retired after over 20 years of service. Amelia's interests were her grandchildren, bingo, and knitting. She was a communicant of St. Bridgid - St. Joseph Church. Amelia was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Tyson in 1976.
Survivors: son, Jeff Tyson; daughters, Jackie (Paul) Stavrus and Cindy (Pete) Palumb, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Sturick) Smith; brother, Eddie Sturick.
Services: 9:30 am Wednesday at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (Today) at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid's Food Pantry, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
