Carol attended Cherry Road Elementary School, Syracuse Central High School, and Syracuse University and received a bachelor degree in Home Economics.
She traveled to Hawaii for two years with her maternal Aunt Alice and Uncle Thomas Hobbs. Upon return she worked for Guernsey Milk Producers until 1949 when she married Dr. John J. Later she worked at Onondaga County Cornell Cooperative Extension as cooking instructor and in office administration. For many years, Carol judged baking competitions at the New York State Fair.
Carol's passions were family, dogs, horses, gardening, education, reading, music, cooking, baking, and socializing with friends. She was always pleasant and was known for her homemade breads, apple pie, cakes and cookies.
