I first met your mother when she was playing tennis at Cherry Road School. We soon played together.
While at a high school graduation party at Oneida Lake in 1965, I and another girl were pulled under the water by a riptide. Another girl saved my friend and your mother saved my life that day.

Dear Matt, Jon and families,
I am so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I knew her through the Interfaith Works Senior Companion Program. Carol was extraordinarily compassionate and showed this to the clients she served and the volunteers and staff she worked with.
Carol also had a quick wit, a quick smile and a wonderful sense of humor! She will be missed by so many of us.
In sympathy,
Terri Jennings, Volunteer Coordinator, Senior Companion Program

To Carol's Family, Carol was my mom's senior companion for about a year while she tried to stay in her home in Syracuse. She and my mom had good times together shopping, going for lunch and just talking. Carol even brought my mom to Buffalo for a visit one time! She was always up for an adventure when her health allowed. Carol was so kind and had a great giving spirit inspite of her own hardships. She was one of the rare angels we meet on earth. We are so sorry to see her move on. God Bless.

Dear Matt and Jon,
I had the great pleasure of knowing your mother through her service as a Senior Companion. She was a dedicated and compassionate caregiver and advocate for the frail elders she served. She made a profound difference in their lives, helping them to maintain their independence and stay active and socialized. We were blessed to have her be a part of our volunteer team.
On behalf of all of us in the Senior Companion Program, we send our deepest sympathies to your family. Carol will be remembered fondly by us all.
In sympathy,
Lori Klivak

Matthew and Jonathan, I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your Mother. She was a real Trooper, a fighter and a sweetheart. She was so funny and loved you boys soo much. As a Senior Companion, she worked so hard to help people get to their appointments. It didn't matter if they were for a Dr appointment or a hairdresser...she loved to do it. It gave her a purpose in life and I will miss her strong spirit. Doug
