Obituary of William J. McMahon

William "Bill" McMahon, 76, of Lyncourt went home to God on New Year's Day. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of St. Anthony of Padua High School. Bill was a staunch union machinist with Lipe Rollway for over 35 years. He was past president of The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2 Syracuse, NY. He was a communicant of St. Daniel's and St. Anthony of Padua Churches. Survivors: his cousins, the McGinn, Warner, and Smith families, and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Philomena and William S. McMahon and sister, Mary Ann McMahon. Services: 10:30 am Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 11:00 am at St. Anthony Of Padua Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
