I am so sorry I did not know sooner. Diane was my roommate for two years at the University of Houston and a dear friend. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding in 1968. We lost touch sometime in the mid-90s, when my annual Christmas card and letter came back as undeliverable. In recent years, I unsuccessfully tried to find her online. Last December, with a reunion of UH drama alumni being planned and wishing so much that Diane could be there, something prompted me to write a note in my Christmas card to a college friend whom I thought I recalled as being the friend of a friend of Diane's in those days, on the slim chance that person might know how to contact her. Today I heard from the friend I'd written, that her friend had also lost touch with Diane, but learning I was searching for her, had looked online and found her obituary. I received the news in today's mail and am heartbroken to have come so close to being in touch with her again. She was a warm, wise, elegant young lady in the years I knew her, and I know she must have touched so many lives for the better, as she did mine. If her brother could contact me concerning her, I would be very grateful.
