Obituary of Dawn Marie Lyon

Dawn M. Lyon, 60, passed peacefully surrounded by love on August 29, 2016 at St Luke HS in Oswego. Dawn graduated from Cicero High School in 1975, then joined the army. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. Dawn spent many years working at Alliance Bank in Cortland, then for Cortland Regional Medical Center. This lady's smile lit the hearts of everyone. She was always prepared to make the best of every situation. Dawn loved photography, dancing, and chocolate. She very much loved her two daughters and grandson, who were the usual subjects of her photography. She loved adventures with all her beloved friends. Survivors: Dawn is forever in the hearts of her family; two daughters, Brooke (Tim) Crytser, of Theresa, NY and Michelle (Rob Born) Turner, of Oswego, NY; her grandson, Finn Crytser, siblings, parents, and all her wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers please donate to your public library, local hospital funds, or palliative care facilities. Her children would like to extend a special thank you to Upstate Hospital and St Luke Health Services for their caring staff and excellent care.
