Obituary of Steven W. Snyder Esq.

Steven W. Snyder Esq., the son of Edward H. and Agnes Snyder, passed away Thursday June 2, 2016. Steve was a beloved brother, uncle and friend. Steve was born December 12, 1956 in Syracuse, NY. He was a graduate of Bishop Ludden High School and earned his BA from the University of Rochester and his JD from the Syracuse University College of Law. He was a member of the law firm of Fitzpatrick and Snyder, P.C. and practiced law in Syracuse for over 30 years. Steve was predeceased by his oldest sister, Agnes Owens. Survivors: his siblings, Holley (Ed) Christen, Mary Grace Snyder (Kenn Pendleton), Edward H. Snyder (Geoff Newman), Joseph (Patty) Snyder, Susan Snyder (Robert Spekman), numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends, all of whom experienced his refreshing sense of humor and friendly nature. Steve also possessed an incredible generosity of spirit, as evidenced by the many occasions that he provided a kind word, legal counsel, or his affable nature at the moment it was needed. Thank you, Steve, for all the love and lessons, and for adding fun to any occasion. You will be forever remembered for your kind, open heart and your love for family and friends. We will miss you, and are comforted knowing that you are at peace. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday at The Church of St. Michael And St. Peter, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at The Church Of St. Michael And St. Peter, 4782 W Seneca Tpke, Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Association of CNY and or Alcoholics Anonymous.
