Terry Healy was a dear friend who happened also to be a distinguished member of the Foreign Service of the United States. As Ambassador she represented our country with intelligence and dedication, setting an example for the next generation of American diplomats. I will miss my dear and very special aunt, she was my godmother and a dear friend. I was very proud of her accomplishments and admired her strength and independence. So many memories! Too many to reflect on. She loved her mystery books, Star Trek, and a good laugh. These last 8 1/2 years were not what she had planned but it was a privilege to help her and to be so close to her. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Love you!

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the family of The Hon. Theresa Healy, and specifically to Ms Pauline Warboy, who has become a valued friend during the Syracuse time in Theresa's life. My acquaintance to Ambassador Healy goes way back to the 1980's in West Africa. Over the years that followed, Theresa has become a trusted friend who impressed me always with her wide-spread knowledge, wit and humor. I did not realize that, when I called her not so long ago and she suggested to call her back in a fortnight, it was the last time we spoke together. She will remain unforgotten.
