Obituary of Manuel "Mike" P. Miguel

Manuel P. "Mike" Miguel, 99, of Solvay passed away Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Spain, he came to this country as a young child and was a graduate of Solvay High School. He met and married Claire Falso his best friend and love of his life. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was employed by National Biscuit Company, as a salesman for over 35 years. Mike retired at age 64 and enjoyed his retirement with summers in the Adirondacks and winters in Florida. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Mike was predeceased by his wife, Claire and his sister, Margaret Gago. Survivors: his daughter Natalie (Jack) Kinsella; sons, Mike (Betty) Miguel and Gary (Kathy) Miguel; grandchildren, Ed and John Kinsella, Erin Keith, Mike Miguel, Kristen Miguel; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Augustine (Richard) Gaffney; several nieces and nephews. Services: Private services will be held for family. Interment will be next to his wife Claire in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
