Obituary of Carolyn A. Himpler

Carolyn Ann Himpler, 86, a lifetime resident of Solvay, has joined her family in heaven. Carolyn was born September 12, 1929 to Frank and Mary (Henchen) Himpler. She graduated from Solvay High School and worked for McMillan Book Company. Carolyn graciously gave comfort and care to many family members and friends in need of support. She loved to sing and was the life of the party. Carolyn was very athletic and an exceptional bowler and golfer. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and playing cards. Carolyn was predeceased by her sisters, Thelma Himpler, Mary Louise Storie, Dorothy Smorol, and her brother, Frank Himpler. Survivors: Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Robert, Edward (Marianne) and Paul Himpler; sisters, Helen Rivers, Florence Schuelke, and Ruth Howard; many nieces and nephews, Sharon Akkoul (Vincent A. Scarantino), Joseph (Jeanne) Tupper, extended family, neighbors, and friends. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse.
