Obituary of Margaret S. Morrison

Margaret "Peggy" (Prince) Morrison, 80, of Syracuse, passed away on November 15, 2014 in Syracuse. Peggy was born in Newport, NH. She graduated Newport High School and went on to earn her PhD in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University. Peggy was on the faculty of Empire State College for a number of years and retired in 1999. She was a lover of antiques and ran a small antique business for many years after her retirement. Peggy enjoyed traveling, journeying to Europe, India and across the US with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Morrison, parents, Isabel Manson Prince and Dr. William Prince.
Survivors: daughters, Maria Spanos of Narraganset, RI, and Stephania Spanos of Syracuse, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Aristides and Mary Spanos of Ridgefield, CT, granddaughters Natalie and Isabella Spanos of Ridgefield, CT, sister and brother-in-law Helen Prince and Raymond Stineford and brother David Prince of New Hampshire.
Services: Funeral service and burial will be private. A gathering of remembrance is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Food Band of Central New York, 7066 Interstate Island Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209-9712.
