Carmen J. Spinoso, 83, of Lakeland, passed into the next life surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Carmen lived with a humble heart and joyful spirit. His journey through this life was highlighted by his tireless devotion to his loving wife, Anita of nearly 50 years, who passed away in 2009, and the love he poured out on his family and friends. Always quick with a smile and a joke, Carmen kept his sense of humor through his entire life. Carmen exemplified hard work, honesty and the importance of family. These values will remain his treasured legacy. Survivors: Carmen is survived by his children, Carmen D. Spinoso, Maria (Buck) Walter, Janine (Mark) Lundrigan; his grandchildren Kellie Walter, William Walter III, Camillo Spinoso, Connor Lundrigan, Dominick Spinoso, Lauren Lundrigan, Carmen Spinoso Jr., Ryan Lundrigan, Angelena Spinoso and Liam Lundrigan. Carmen is also survived by his brother James Spinoso (of Warners) and many nieces and nephews. Carmen's family cannot thank the staff at Syracuse Home enough for the tender loving care they showed to him and his family during his short stay with them. Their dedication and compassion is truly appreciated. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Tindall Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Peace Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
