Born Dec. 31, 1916, the third child of Florence Amelia Grimsley Clark and George E. Clark, Viola Clark Raymond passed away on May 15, 2014. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 78 years, Melbourne "Red" Lewis Raymond Jr. on May 14, 2012. "Vicky" dropped out of school at a fairly young age to become a housekeeper and help provide for her nine siblings, as was the custom in that era. In 1934, she married "Red", and they set up housekeeping on the Westover Tract, moving to Fairmount to be closer to their parents during World War II. She worked in a paper factory, grew a "Victory Garden", and raised and canned chickens along with the garden crops as part of the war effort. Her pride and joy was making life better for her extended family. After the war, Red started a successful business, Raymond's Painting & Decorating. Vic did the bookkeeping it required until their retirement. She enjoyed yearround fishing, camping, snowmobiling, dancing, and a great celebration with family and friends. She was an active member of the Camillus Eastern Stars and youth activities while her children were young.
