Obituary of Fannie Frances Berda

Fannie Frances Berda January 15, 2014 Fannie Frances Berda, 86, of Syracuse passed away Wednesday at Van Duyn. Fannie was the daughter of the late John and Angie Romeo Contini. She had been employed by Easy Washer, Remington Rand, Pass and Seymour and was a self employed caterer. She was a communicant of St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, the Solvay Garden Club and Hazard Branch Library. Fannie was predeceased by her husband, Francis "Frank" Berda, Sr. in 1993 and her granddaughter Shelly Rose Berda. Fannie is survived by her daughter, Roseann (David) Barnes; two sons, Francis (Susan) Berda and David (Marian) Berda; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Stephanie, Catherine, Derek, Joshua, Grace, Jasmine, and Kailyn; brother, John Contini and several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer St. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
