Obituary of Francis V. O'Neil

Francis V. O'Neil November 14, 2013 Francis V. O'Neil, 94, of Syracuse passed away Thursday. He was born on July 15, 1919 in Syracuse and was a graduate of Solvay High School. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He served in the European Campaign as a combat medic with the 14th Armored Division earning 3 Bronze Stars. He retired in 1984 after 24 years as a purchasing agent at Allied Chemical. Survivors: his wife, Mary Jane (Moran); daughters, Anne Baty, Kathleen O’Neil, Patricia (Dan Curtin) O’Neil; grandchildren, Mark (Tracy) Baty, Patrick and Anna Curtin; great granddaughter, Ava Baty; he is also survived by several nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles. Calling hours will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St. prior to the Mass.
