Obituary of James L. Myers

James L. Myers, 87, of Westvale passed away Thursday. He was born in Meadville, PA and lived most of his life in the Syracuse area. James was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He retired from the Post Standard after 30 years as a printer. He was predeceased by his daughter, Alice Elizabeth in 1967. Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Helen (Buel) Myers; sons, Kevin F. Myers of Syracuse and Jerry (Julie) Myers of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren, Samantha Jacksland, Christopher Myers, Courtney Aversano, and Lindsay Myers; great grandchildren, Mikayla, Sven, and McKenzie Jacksland. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 417 S. Orchard Rd., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and Burial with military honors will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 5 to 7p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
