Bernadine McMahon Warner, 85, of Morgan Avenue, Syracuse, N.Y. passed away in her sleep at the home of her daughter Kelly and Rick Carlesco surrounded by her loving family, on December 9, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and a communicant of St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Eugenia (Lapinski) McMahon. Bernadine was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School and attended the College of St. Rose in Albany. She began her working career with the IRS prior to starting a family. Later she was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital at St. Francis Hall as an Occupational Therapist and retired after twenty five years of service. Bernadine was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Austin D. Warner Sr. in 1998, and her brothers, Joseph and Jeremiah McMahon and her sister Rosemary McGinn. Surviving are her six children, Austin D. Jr., of Sandy Pond, Daniel M. (Christine) of Baldwinsville, Kim M. (Kathy), Warner, of Camillus, Susan A. (Michael) Wood of N. Syracuse, Bernard Warner of Syracuse and Kelly A. (Richard) Carlesco of Liverpool; her sister, Eugenie Coleman of Solvay; her grandchildren, Austin O. (Jessica) of Gabriels and Forrest W (Katy) Warner of Clinton, Daniel M. Jr. and Matthew A. (Casey) Warner of Baldwinsville, Jennifer L (Jeffrey) McCard of Baldwinsville, Meghan E. (Nate) Getman of Herkimer, Jackie M (Pete) McComb of Cherry Hill, N.J., Kristin J. (Shaun) Burdick of Fulton, Kevin J. Warner of Galvaston, TX, Melissa S. Wood and Stephanie L. Hoey both of N. Syracuse, Ashley N. Carlesco of Syracuse; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services: 9 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Belle Isle Cemetery. Calling hours 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home 1921 W. Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St. Liverpool, NY 13088
