Mary Elizabeth Waters Webster, 92, of Solvay passed away Monday at James Square. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of Solvay High School. Mary retired as a manager from Paper Poppy in Syracuse. She was a member of the Solvay Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary for over 70 years, Onondaga County Volunteer Fireman’s Assoc. Ladies Auxiliary, CNY Fireman’s Assoc. Ladies Auxiliary, and Ladies Auxiliary FASNY. She was lifelong communicant St. Cecilia’s Church and member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mary was predeceased by her, husband, Norman J. Webster, son, Richard M. Webster, sister, Sr. Mary Francine Waters, and brother, Ronald Waters. Survivors: sons, Edward and Douglas of Solvay, and Mark (Valerie) Webster of Illinois; daughters, Patricia (Jim) Flaherty of North Carolina and Cynthia Webster of Solvay; daughter in law, Carolyn Webster of Solvay; brother William Waters of Syracuse; sisters in law, Shirley Webster and Lucy Waters; 8 grandchildren, 13 grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at James Square for their excellent care. Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Belle Isle Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Solvay Fire Department, 1925 Milton Ave., Solvay, NY 13209
