Obituary of Mary L. Darby

Mary L. Darby, 81, of Amboy passed away November 27 at Upstate Hospital at Community General. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of West Genesee High School. Mary worked for Marine Midland Bank retiring after 20 years and would later work for Tops. After retirement, Mary loved to work at the New York State Fair. She loved sports, playing in both softball and bowling leagues, and following SU basketball. Mary also enjoyed fishing on Cross Lake and in Alexandria Bay. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Gertrude Darby; brothers, Ronny and Buddy; sister, Florence.

Survivors: brother, Edward (Alice) Darby; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours 5pm to 7pm Monday, December 2, at Tindall Funeral Home 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday, December 3, at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
