Obituary of Richard Daniel Mackin

Rich Mackin passed away on May 20, 2024, in Syracuse, NY, at the age of 65. He was born on April 2, 1959, in Mineola, NY. Rich was known for his kind, loving, caring, and creative nature. Rich pursued higher education at Syracuse University and SUNY Oswego. He worked as an accountant for many years and enjoyed hobbies such as movies, music, and travel.

He is survived by his husband, Matthew Micheletti; beloved dog, Ralphie and guinea pigs, Captain Jack and Reggie; siblings, Thomas (Linda), Eric (Patty Sue), Christine (Paul), and Michael, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian, and father, Robert. 

Calling hours for Rich will be 4-7 pm Thursday, May 30, at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday, May 31, at All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210.
