Lawrence F. Brown passed away Sunday January 27 of C.O.P.D. caused by smoking. Born in Solvay to Lewis and Mary Magdaline Brown (Haggerty). He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Larry graduated from West Genesee High School in 1960, Onondaga Community College 1996 in science with honors, Colombia college in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts. He spent 7 years in the New York Army National Guard. Larry was a retired union plumber with local 54. He donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Upstate Medical University. Larry loved racing motorcycles, hunting, fishing, Bill W and the great outdoors. He also loved volunteering as a drug and alcohol councilor in Clean and Sober Pods at the Onondaga County Justice Center. Survived by: Mary Anne (Hartigan) Brown (former wife); four children, David L. Brown, Daniel R. Brown, Corrine M. (Brown) Houston, Kimberly L. Garvey. Five siblings, Robert P. Brown, Jack Haggerty, Susan Haggerty, James Haggerty, Mary Jane Haggerty (Deceased). Three grandchildren, Trevor Brown, Tristan Brown, Cooper Houston. Services: 10:00 a.m. May 11, 2013 friends of A.A. at Shove Park, Camillus. In addition, a Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. July 3, 2013 at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr. Fairmount. In liew of flowers, donations can be made to Syracuse Open House 1947 W Fayette St. Syracuse, NY 13204.
