Jack Mulherin passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on Thursday February 7th at the Syracuse VA Hospital. Cause of death was old age. Jack was born July 11, 1916 in Syracuse. Except for a few years in Chicago in the 1920's and his service to his Nation during World War Two he remained in Syracuse his entire life. Jack was the founder and principal Broker at Mulherin Real Estate for over 40 years. In addition to his own business he proudly served as a long time Director and past President of the Greater Syracuse Board of Realtors, an Association which later honored him with their Realtor of the Year award. Jack was pre deceased by his wife Marge, his daughter Mary and his sons Joe and David. Survivors: his children, Francie (Dave) Desimone, Margie (Chris) Geiger, Jerry Mulherin and Richard (Kate Flannery) Mulherin in addition to ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Per Jack's wishes his remains were donated to SUNY Upstate Medical Center for use in medical research. Services: A Memorial Mass will be held Noon Friday at Most Holy Rosary Church. A calling hour will be from 11 a.m. to Noon at the church, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse, NY 13207.
