Dorothy was a very good friend of my mother - Margaret Mackey Grenier - and to my family as well. My mother met Dorothy while working in the credit department at Wells & Coverly (1980?) and they were friends until my mother passed in 2017. As the obit relates, Dorothy had a gift of storytelling. I still remember some of her stories about her family in New Jersey. I especially remember Dorothy being a friend to the animals in her neighborhood. She looked out for dogs and cats alike, leaving food out for them and sometimes taking them in to her home. She was such a kind soul and I hope wherever she is now, she's surrounded by all the people and animals she loved.

I am so sorry to hear this. She was an amazing woman and I shall miss her. We were coworkers and fellow animal lovers. She was prone to mother all of us. She went off about my not wearing a hat in stormy weather due to “hat head”. I proceeded to refer to her as “mother”for the rest of my life. To which I think she found a joy in. I still have a number of her amazing cartoon drawings from our Marine Midland days that I cherish. I shall miss her the rest of the days of my life.

Dorothy with her older sister Barbara, and with both of her sisters Barbara and Diane. The lucky guy in the middle of the sisters, not sure if his name.
I will miss my Aunt Dorothy, she was a smart and sassy lady and a wonderful story teller. May the three sisters have a great time catching up.
My sympathy to my cousins, I know she will be missed.

RIP Dorothy. It seems like a lifetime ago that you last told me a funny story, but I will never forget your wonderful sense of humor.
