Jeanne A. Flynn (Parrott), 74, of Syracuse passed away Saturday, peacefully at home. Born in Utica the youngest child of the late Richard A. Flynn, Sr. and Mary Ann LeFleur. She was a graduate of the Convent School, St. Francis Normal School, and Oswego State. Jeanne was the former Sister Mary Richard of the Franciscan Order. After leaving the order she spent many years teaching in the Dioceses of Albany and Syracuse. She later retired from Agri Services Agency. Jeanne enjoyed genealogy, cooking, knitting, crafts, reading, travel, particularly to Ireland, and playing croquet with the West Hill Croquet Club. She was predeceased by her siblings, Irene Flynn, Richard Flynn, Patricia (William) Barry, Robert (Ann) Flynn. Survivors: daughters, Melissa Martin and Meghan Cornish; son, Robert L. (Michelle) Parrott; grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Samantha, and Ashley Martin, RJ, Matthew, and Zachary Cornish, Amanda and Brandon Parrott; brother James (Nancy) Flynn; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank Hospice of CNY for their wonderful care. Services: 5 p.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home. Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St. prior to the service. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
