Robert ‘Bob’ DeGroat, 74, of Fayetteville, NY, and Cranford, NJ, passed away on June 8th in Cranford. Bob was born in Cooperstown, NY and grew up in the village of Stamford, Delaware County, NY. He graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1969, where he met his wife, Angela. Bob worked as a sales representative with Meda Pharmaceuticals for 40 years until his retirement. He will be especially remembered for his love of playing golf, swimming, Syracuse basketball, the New York Yankees, craft beer, and a wide variety of music. He was a devoted grandfather and truly loved spending time with his 7 grandchildren - Sean, Erin, Joe, Mikey, Stella, Flynn, and Avery. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Catherine DeGroat, and a brother, Stephen DeGroat.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Angela of Fayetteville and Cranford, sons Patrick (Anissa) DeGroat of Cranford and Matthew (Mary) DeGroat of Cicero, and Clare (Michael) Morschauser of Syracuse. They, among many other family members, will cherish his memory. Bob had a gift to make anyone he came across feel special, and will be missed by friends everywhere.
