Obituary of Lisa Corbett

Elizabeth “Lisa” Corbett passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 29, at Crouse Hospital. She was 69 years old and had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer nearly five years earlier.  

Lisa was born and raised in Fairport N.Y. and came to Syracuse in 1971 to attend Syracuse University. Lisa worked for the Onondaga County Public Library system for over 25 years, and spent most of those years at Soule Branch Library. She loved her job, her co-workers, and the library patrons.  

Lisa was an avid reader who also enjoyed classic movies, genealogy, nature, and spending time with her family.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tom Corbett; their daughter, Mary Corbett; her sister, Margaret Ortiz, and her sister’s husband Mark Ortiz. She is predeceased by her parents Catherine and Stephen May.  

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Wednesday April 6, at Tindall Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 10 am Thursday April 7, at the funeral home 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.
