Obituary of Mathew Edward McDaniels

Mathew E. McDaniels, 47, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on February 18, 2022. Matt was a life long resident of Syracuse. He graduated from OCM BOCES Nursing program as an LPN. He was predeceased by his uncle, Kurt; mother, Dena; and grandfather, Bruce.

Survivors: his daughter, Katt Houghmaster-McDaniels; two grandchildren, Blade and Kylie; Gram, Delores Herringshaw; brother, Mike McDaniels; his amazing aunt, Chris (Dave) Fidura; special cousins, Aaron (Holly) Herringshaw and Alyssa Kelsey; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

For those that knew him, he had the biggest heart a person could possess, and was always wanting to make others happy. His smile could brighten any room and his laughter was contagious. Mathew always made sure to always tell all of us how much he loved us! Life is too short you never know when it is your time. Always tell everyone how much you love them and hug them a little tighter.

Services: Calling hours will be 4-6 pm Monday, February 21 at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St. Syracuse. Masks required if unvaccinated.
