Obituary of Rosario Salvatore Miceli

Rosario S. Miceli, 35, of Syracuse, NY, passed away February 25. Rosario was born in Syracuse, attended Sacred Heart Elementary, Bishop Ludden Junior High School, Corcoran High School, and Onondaga Community College. Roy was extremely talented and gifted. As a child and adolescent, he enjoyed a variety of sports, and was skilled in many areas. Roy had advanced artistic skills and a specialty in pencil and charcoal sketching. He was humorous, kind, had a very caring heart, and would help anyone he could. He was incredibly determined, and once he had his mind set on doing something, he would always do his absolute best in trying to accomplish the task. Gone too soon but always in our hearts, he will be forever missed by many.

Survivors: father, Joseph S.A. Miceli of the Town of Geddes; mother, Catherine Bennett of Canastota; sisters, Christina Miceli of Syracuse and Maria Miceli of Solvay; brother, Pasquale Miceli of Vermont. In addition to several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.

Services: 9:30am Friday March 5, at The Basilica of The Sacred Heart where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.

Current NYS COVID guidelines requiring masks, social distancing and occupancy limits will be observed.
