Uncle Louie has been a part of my entire life. He always had a twinkle in his eyes and a smile on his face that made you think he just got away with something. If he was with Uncle Richard for very long it was pretty certain! There are many stories of the two of them but I'm pretty sure they need to kept as family secrets. Toward the end he didn't want company but I eventually would go to visit either alone or with my husband, Jerry. I thought I was going to see Bennie but it turned out Uncle Louie wanted our undivided attention! He couldn't hear very well so I'd end up going over to sit beside him and he would catch up on all that was going on in my family. For a person who said he didn't want visitors he was a wonderful host! I'd have little time to talk Bennie! He was one of a kind and is truly missed.....

Lou Contegni was an old-world gentleman and consummate host whenever I visited Ben and him. More recently, when he preferred only the company of his son, he suffered my occasional visits with grace. :) He lived a magnificent life. My sympathies to Ben and extended family.
