Although what this says is true, my Mother in Law was so much more.
She was an active member of her church and volunteered doing the church bulletins and didn’t give it up until they took her into hospice in October.
Oh, she could bake! Her pies! Her cookies!!! Oh and don’t forget about “The” cake. She baked Christmas cookies and even sent some to us over the earlier years. When my husband was on a ship during Desert Storm, she organized a cookie drive at the hospital where she worked and she and the other nurses got together and baked dozens of cookies for my husband and his shipmates.
She never forgot a thing. She always remembered birthdays, appointments, anniversaries, ceremonies...sharp. Yes, she was sharp, til the day she died.
She was always doing. She didn’t sit still. Always doing something...reading, laundry, writing cards, crocheting, something.
She offered advice, but only when asked. She never stepped on any toes.
Although she was in a lot of pain for many years, she didn’t complain.
Yes, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and great grandmother, and she sent cards and she made blankets, and she was so much more!
