Obituary of Eleanor M. Cox

Eleanor M. Cox April 1, 2010 Eleanor Cox, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at Van Duyn. Born in Utica, she was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. She worked many years for her family business the Modern Sewing Center in Westvale. She then worked for several years at Crouse Hospital with her final position being in the billing department. Eleanor was a member of First English Lutheran Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Arlott. Survivors: her son, Robert Cox of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Deborah Delgado, Steven Cox, and Craig Cox; several great grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church, 501 James Street, Syracuse. Calling hours 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 677 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13202.
