Marie passed away on July 26th at the age of 101 after a long and fulfilling life. She was born in Syracuse on September 13, 1918, the daughter of Philip Edward and Margaret Marie (Tusang) Graff. Marie attended St Patrick’s School and graduated from Vocational High School in 1936. She worked at Crouse Hinds, and married the love of her life, Lawrence, in 1949 after meeting at a dance. Marie was a loving and devoted mother and wife. After her children were all settled in school, she returned to the workforce as a valued employee of the Royal Globe Insurance company. She loved birds and enjoyed birdwatching in her backyard as well as far away places such as Brownsville, Texas. She spread her own wings while she was in her 80’s living alone for the first time in her life and enjoyed a rich social life in Pulaski, NY. She was actively involved in Church and volunteer groups. She often traveled with her friends to see plays and visit museums. Among Marie’s hobbies and interests were needle work, gardening, long walks, dancing, and eating dessert.

She was predeceased by husband Lawrence J. Thibault, sister Helen Graff, and brother Philip Graff.

She is survived by her children, Mary Cynthia (Patrick) Cordes, Jeanne Bergquist, Lorraine (Glenn) Kress, Gerard (Patty) Thibault, and Anita Dyba, seven grandchildren, Rebecca Kress, Andrew Kress, Jane Kress, Chloe Dyba, Noelle Dyba, Emily Bergquist, and Isabelle Thibault, and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Miranda and Anthony Kress. Also surviving are nieces Mary Graff, Mary Ann (Mickinkle) Buerman, nephews John Mickinkle, and Michael Mickinkle.
