Obituary of Nancy LaVerne O'Connor

Nancy LaVerne Paradee O’Connor, 84 of Cicero, NY passed away Saturday at the Cottages at Garden Grove. Born in Berwyn, IL to Marvin and Alvina Spurney Paradee. Nancy obtained her Nursing degree and married George R. O’Connor on September 5, 1958. Together with their children moved around the country and settled in Syracuse and Liverpool, NY. Nancy was a proud Navy Wife raising 6 children while working in the nursing field for over 20 years. She had a deep love of animals, birds, the Chicago Cubs, Law & Order, TV Land, The Food Channel and Strawberry Ice Cream. But most of all, her family. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, brother, loving husband, George R. O’Connor and their beloved daughter and best friend, Michielle K. O’Connor. Nancy is survived by her loving family: Daughters, Cyndy (Rob) Colavita, Kelly (Jimmy) Thousand; Sons, Michael (Sandy) O’Connor, Mark O’Connor and Mitchell (Stacey) O’Connor; Granddaughters, Angela Conte, Christina (Matt) McClary and Katie O’Connor; Grandsons, David (Shawna) Colavita, Andrew (Tonya) O’Connor, Matt (June) O’Connor and Max Kelso-May; Great Grandchildren, Adriana and Francis Colavita, Killian and Tucker O’Connor, Ryder and Layla O’Connor and Harper Rae McClary. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Cottage 31. You are truly our Heroes!!! Private service will be held for immediate family at Tindall Funeral Home 1921 W. Genesee St. Syracuse. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, helpinghoundsdogrescue.org or 7268 Caswell St., North Syracuse, NY 13212.
