Obituary of Michael J. Gallagher

Michael J. Gallagher, 75, of Syracuse passed away peacefully Monday. Born in Syracuse he was a graduate of St. Lucy's Academy. Mike was a US Army veteran and retired from the National Guard after over 30 years of service. He was retired from Rite Aid after 37 years. Mike loved camping and Nascar. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Rose Gallagher, his brother, William A. Gallagher, and sister, Kathleen Back. Survivors: his wife of 39 years, Carole (McIntyre) Gallagher; sister, Johanna "Tish" Petta of Liverpool; brother, Brian (Robin) Gallagher of Rockledge, FL; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 am Friday, December 20, at Tindall Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial with military honors will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm Thursday, December 19, at the funeral home, 1921 W.
