Obituary of Michielle K. O'Connor

Michielle K. O'Connor, 56 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away Sunday at home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Oakland, CA, she lived most of her life in the Syracuse area.

Michielle had an infectious smile and sparkling blue eyes that lit up the room. She overcame her many challenges with grace, dignity, strength, and at times stubbornness. Michelle loved life, family, friends, Peppa the Pig, anything Wizard of Oz, Happy Meals, Dr. Pepper and an occasional substitute of Diet Pepsi. She was a traveler from coast to coast. Alaska, Nashville, Florida, Virginia, NYC to name a few of her grand adventures.

She was predeceased by her father, George R. O'Connor, Jr. and grandparents, Ruth and George O'Connor, Sr.

Survivors: her loving mother and best friend, Nancy O'Connor (two peas in a pod); sisters, Cyndy (Rob) Colavita and Kelly Conte (Jimmy Thousand); brothers, Mike (Sandy) O'Connor, Mark O'Connor, Mitchell (Stacey) O'Connor; nieces, Angela Conte, Christina (Matt) McClary, Katie O'Connor; nephews, Andrew O'Connor (Tonya Taylor), Matt (June) O'Connor, David (Shawna) Colavita, Max Kelso; grand nieces, Adriana Colavita, Harper Rae (soon to be born); grand nephews, Killian O'Connor, Tucker O'Connor, and Francis Colavita.

The family wishes to thank Michielle’s extended family The wonderful and loving staff at Parkway IRA, West Genesee Day Hab Program, Westcott Day Hab Program and Adams Apple Transport Services. A special shout out and thank you to ALL those who touched, supported and loved Michielle through the years. We can’t thank each and everyone enough.

Services: 10 am Thursday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home 1921 W. Genesee St. Syracuse.
