Mary O'Connor August 22, 2012 Mary Maureen O'Connor, of Liverpool NY, died August 22, 2012 at St Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Mary was born August 14, 1965 to Charles V. and Patricia (McGrath) O'Connor. Mary grew up in Taunton, going to St. Ann's School and graduating from Fransican Academy in 1984. She worked for many years as a florist, at The Flower Box in Taunton and later at Fortino's Florist in Fayetteville. Her artistic talents were many and varied, from designing flowers, to drawing and making jewelry. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and generous heart. Mary had an avid love of all animals, especially her beloved dog, Boo. Survivors: her sisters, Ann O'Connor of Saratoga Springs and Nancy O'Connor, of Bangor, ME as well as her brother Matthew O'Connor along with his wife Theresa. She is also survived by her niece, Maggie Carcaterra and her nephews, Tim, Jim and Patrick O'Connor; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents. The family would like to thank Jessica Dauer for all her help and support. They would also like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for their wonderful care of Mary. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be Friday 5 to 7 p.m. at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mary may be made to CNY SPCA, 5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY or a charity of one's choice.
