Starr L. Guckert, 69, of Camillus, NY passed away at home January 19th from a stroke that took her quickly. She served on CENTRO’s Accessible Transportation Advisory Council and the Syracuse Airport Accessibility Committee. She was an active member and local officer of Disabled in Action (DIA). Starr also served on the board of the CNY ACLU, and was appointed to 3 terms on the local Human Rights Commission (HRC). Starr enjoyed listening to audio books, taking pictures of sunsets, studying the British monarchy, and had a large collection of teddy bears and Furbees.

In death, she rejoins her mother Marion, her brother Howie, and her canine companion Abby.

Survivors: her brother Allan (GA), a niece, two nephews and several cousins, especially Bill and Jeannie Deyo (AZ), as well as close friends and colleagues who will remember her with love and respect.
