Kelly I still can’t believe that you are gone. I miss your laugh and our conversations. I miss your calling me a goof! I miss reminiscing with you about all the dumb things we did as kids. I still have the Sept recording of you singing Happy Birthday to me in the goofiest voice you could muster. I listen to it often. Kelly, you were and still are a true inspiration to me. No matter how many times you were handed lemons you always made lemonade. You were fierce and a soldier never letting your many challenges get in the way,’You just forged on. I miss you so much. I do take comfort in the fact that you are in heaven reunited with your family and that you no longer know pain and suffering. We will meet again soon my friend. Forever in my heart. ❤️ PS: Give Kimmy a big hug for me.
Your BFF Kelly

I have known Kelly through my employment with the Dept. of Defense these past 13 years. I got introduced to Kelly most likely through a set of administrative assistant meetings which would be held 2 or more times a year. Kelly was always fun to be with and to talk to. She was always gracious and very friendly to me and to everyone that she came into contact with. I wish that I had gotten to know her better. I know that she suffered for the last 4 or more years that she worked for DoD. When I would see her, I would be reminded to lift her up in my prayers for healing. I suppose that the Lord has chosen to heal her by taking her home. She is missed greatly.

I worked with Kelly and grew to love her. She was such a trooper and a good hearted soul. She never gave up. She never beat around the bush; you always knew how Kelly felt about things and I admired her straightforwardness. Kelly, you will be missed. I hope you find comfort now. Cathy

I am saddened by the news of Kelly’s passing. She was a colleague for many years and I started working in the HQ office with her in 2011 when she became more than a colleague, but also a friend. We referred to her as “the lady” because she knew tricks for getting things done that no one else could figure out. She was one of the most dedicated employees I’ve ever met, anywhere. She lit up the office with all the stories about her fur-babies, and was a true animal lover. She loved to tackle a challenging recipe and we enjoyed sampling the delicious baked goods she lovingly made for us. She and I exchanged stories about our mutual experiences of her hometown of Syracuse, where I had visited many times as well. It was hard for us and, for her, to retire. May you rest in peace, dear Kelly, and know that your spirit lives on in IRD.

I was truly saddened to hear about the loss of my dear friend Kelly. I had the pleasure of working with Kelly on a daily basis since 2005. She was our Management Analyst and travel system guru. When DTS came on the scene, Kelly took the basic training but made herself an expert on the system and was sought out by many, not only in IRD but throughout our larger organization. Kelly was one of the most dedicated and conscientious colleagues I've worked with, often times persevering through health challenges. She inspired me to push through tough work challenges when I considered I didn't have the weight of personal health challenges she endured and fought through. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have my life enriched by the devotion, feistiness, courage and strong will I witnessed in Kelly. She leaves an indelible mark on our organization as a work family. May you rest in peace and find joy in a new body and everlasting life! CB

I worked with Kelly at IRD. From that working relationship, we became friends. Kelly fought many battles both physical and emotional. Through it all, she exemplified strength and will power. She was smart, stubborn and feisty. All the things, I loved about her. I just wish I was able to speak with her one more time. My condolences to the family. You can rest in peace now Kelly. Love, Alicia

So sad to hear of Kelly's death. She was our expert on federal travel and helped so many of us during her time at the Investigations and Resolutions Directorate (IRD). Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Kelly was an amazing co-worker and go-to member of our IRD team. She helped me when I first joined the organization and remained supportive, working her magic to resolve various administrative issues. I respected her expertise and "go do it" attitude in overcoming challenges and relied on her knowledge many times as she assisted me. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all who miss her presence.
