Obituary of Evelyn I. Burrows
Evelyn I. (Kanar) Burrows, 93, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday surrounded by her family at Loretto after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, was a graduate of Central High School, and St. Louis Institute of Music. Evelyn taught music both publicly and privately for over 30 years. She enjoyed her family and friends, square dancing, summers at the lake, and winters in Ft. Myers Beach. She was predeceased by her husband Harold in 2012.
Survivors: daughter, Judie (Lewis) Samhammer of Baldwinsville; two sons, Bill (Rhoda Hatter) Burrows of Canastota and Randie (Kelly) Burrows of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Christopher (Diana), Jessica (Ray), Timothy, Nicole, and Eric; 3 great grandchildren, several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Services: 1pm Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home. Calling hours will be 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1612 W Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
